NEED FOOD? WE GOT CHU!

We foster food security and build socio-economic capacity to relatives within Treaty One Territory, on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anishininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline, Nehethowuk Nations, and on the traditional homeland of the Red River Metis Nation.
The water that nourishes the food resources we recover, upcycle, prepare, and share is sourced from Shoal Lake through the water stewardship of First Nations on Treaty Three Territory.
Community Helpers Unite (CHU), Inc. is an Indigenous led non-profit and social enterprise in North Winnipeg. Our mission is to increase food security in the community and build independence with affordable and free meals, food education, mentorship, as well as meaningful employment and volunteer opportunities.

We specialize in citywide catering that will not only treat your taste buds, but serve a greater cause. The money generated from our catering service is reinvested into CHU's local food security initiatives. Let’s unite to craft an unforgettable experience while giving back to our wonderful community!

Our mission at CHU is to reduce food insecurity with affordable and free meals, food education, and mentorship for the community. We offer both paid and volunteer opportunities that make a real impact. Want to make a difference? Well, you are at the right place!
